Coco is referring to Benefit’s new mascara, They’re Real, and she doesn’t kid around when it comes to lashes (minkies = mink extensions). The jet-black mascara promises to lengthen, curl, volumize, lift & separate using an exclusive bristle brush and long-wearing, glossy formula (don’t they all??).

But seriously, I’m intrigued. Has anyone else tried it?

I thought I had pretty great lashes before, but the extensions! They look like falsies, but feel completely natural. You don’t have to curl them or coat them with mascara. I hardly need a stitch of makeup because the extensions do all the work. I’ve never looked better. In fact, NUMEROUS people have said to me: “You look amazing. What’s different?”  UGH! It’s like my worst nightmare. Now I have to keep these bad boys up (re: have them filled in every month, which takes about an hour and costs $100). Or, I can return to my low-maintenance life of lash growth serums and Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara. Oh to be a man.
