Christmas gift to self: a technology detox. No blogging, no email, no Twitter, no Facebook for the next five days. (I’ll still be indulging in Pinterest and Instagram, the social equivalent to dark chocolate—very good for me in moderation.) What started out as an experiment on a trip to our (internet-free) cabin in Montana has become a personal mandate. It’s cleans out the clutter and the noise so that I can hear my inner voice and let any suppressed feelings float to the surface. Clarity only comes when we allow it. Like one nice long mediation. Only there will be wine. And massages. And an OUTDOOR claw-foot tub. Yes, this techtox will take place in Napa. More on that when I return! Fa-la-la-la-la.
p.s. Anyone care to join me? In the detox that is, not the tub.
