Hey y’all! Back in the saddle after a lovely, leisurely holiday. It’s officially been a week since I started using Meaningful Beauty’s anti-aging system and I am thorough enjoying my little kit. What is it about using only products from the same line that feels so luxurious? Maybe it’s my otherwise schizophrenic beauty habits (research has its price), but it’s wildly satisfying seeing every bottle neatly lined up in my medicine cabinet, looking all matchy-matchy. As for the products themselves, it’s too soon to give a full report but I can tell you this much: My skin feels comfortably hydrated all day—and that is saying something for the single digit temps I enjoyed over the weekend. Moisture is my main skincare concern this time of year and so far so good with the Antioxidant Day Crème SPF 20. It also delivers that instant dewiness upon application that makes me extremely happy.

I’m also rather pleased with my meaningful activities. Specifically, that I’ve made it to THREE spin classes. That’s three times that I’ve gotten out of bed before 6 a.m. Do you know how dark it is at 6 a.m.? This week I’m switching gears (ha) and doing something for someone else. First up: calling a friend I haven’t spoken to in months. Not for any other reason than I’m a workaholic. Although my friends and family are truly the most important and most favorite things in my life, I can easily become completely obsessed with my to-do list to the point that everything and everyone else fades to black. I know this, so I have to make a conscious effort to take breaks from the work that I love to focus on the people I love. Also to sleep, work out, do the laundry . . .
Second meaningful activity this week: Volunteer my time on the annual campaign drive for Wilderness Inquiry, the Minneapolis-based nonprofit that provides outdoor experiences for people who may otherwise not have the opportunity. The great outdoors have enriched our lives so deeply, supporting this organization is second-nature for Mr. Bets and me. Have you found a cause that you feel truly connected to? Today’s’ the day to get involved! Check out GivingTuesday.org for volunteer ideas and inspiration in your community.

Hello lovelies! I'm Elizabeth Dehn, a beauty writer + lifestyle editor who's equally fanatical about lip gloss as juice cleansing. I live in Minneapolis with Mr. Bets and our white lab, Molly Thomas . . .

Enjoying hearing about your journeys. (Particularly the activities…. I am inspired!) Although 6am might be a little early for me!
Good luck with Meaningful Beauty. I gave it up because the serum made my skin burn. Very disappointing!
Oh boo. Sorry to hear that! I get nothing but glow, but don’t have sensitive skin whatsoever.
Thanks Rose! It’s amazing what you can do if you can just get OUT of bed. That’s the hardest part :)
I tried this product the face wash would not take off my make up. I never had acne as soon as I started using the product I broke out badly. The night time cream made my face breakout in red spots. I called to return the product that may I remind you “You have to pay for” they shipped out a new shipment and doubled charged my account! The product and company are just horrible. I have used may products over the years and this was the worst product ever. DONT USE!
