It’s happened more than once. Late at night, on the couch, watching Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty infomercial. Before I know it, a half hour has passed, a little drool has escaped, and I NEED THAT SKINCARE. A fortysomething who still looks like a 22-year-old supermodel will do that.

That, and the magical melon serum gets me every time—a rare fruit from the South of France that provides super-antioxidant power. Developed with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, whose name you may recognize for his own fancy schmancy skincare line, the Meaningful Beauty Advanced Anti-Aging Skincare System is designed to hydrate, protect, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. I finally bit the bullet and am taking the 30-day Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford challenge—starting today!

There are five products in the system, though I’m most I’m most intrigued by the serum, eye cream, and if there’s hope yet for my neck.
- Skin Softening Cleanser
- Antioxidant Cay Creme SPF 20
- Creme de Serum
- Advanced Formula Lifting Eye Creme
- Skin Brightening Décolleté and Neck Treatment SPF 15
While the odds of me emerging a supermodel are next to none, I can channel my inner Cindy Crawford while on her program. She’s been quoted saying that a healthy, meaningful life is just as important to staying young and beautiful as your skincare regimen. Here, here! So I’m committing to two meaningful activities a week. First up: Brunch with my feisty, fun-loving 86-year-old grandma, who I won’t see this Thanksgiving. I also started spinning again. Why did I stop? Because working out at 6 o’clock in the morning is hard. Like, REALLY hard. But it’s the only way for me to get the job done. And afterwards, I feel like a million dollars. Soon I hope to be looking like it, too. I’ll be sure report back on my progress!
What meaningful thing will you do this week or in the coming month? I would love some company on this feel-good journey!
xoxo

Hello lovelies! I'm Elizabeth Dehn, a beauty writer + lifestyle editor who's equally fanatical about lip gloss as juice cleansing. I live in Minneapolis with Mr. Bets and our white lab, Molly Thomas . . .

According to Sebagh himself, Cindy had fillers & vitamins (I do not know if orally or injections, if such a thing exists) along with his skincare – having said that those are minimally invasive and I would be happy to look that young without any surgery at her age – I will try to get an appointment with Dr. Sebagh in a few months when I am back in London, although I’ve heard he treats his non famous patients badly, plus he is very pricey…
For November my challenge was to do 30 push-ups every day! So far, so good! Starting Monday I am also doing a 30-day Shakeology challenge. Here’s to bettering ourselves, x.
I moved from Minneapolis a couple of years ago, but man, my fave Minneapolis workouts were the tremendous amount of awesome spin classes!!! Between Lifetime and spinning at The Firm – those are the most kick butt workouts on the planet!!!! I’m totally jealous! Where are your fave classes?
I am a big spin fan but living in Miami its not hard to get in the morning weather-wise. Keep us posted 30 days from now!
@amanda I’m spinning at lifetime because it’s right down the street, but I know people who swear by The Firm. It’s all about the instructor – and the music!
@Dani you have inspired me to start doing push-ups again! I used to do them daily at boot camp, but you lose it really quickly.
@Milia You could check out one of other big estheticians in London. Hearing a lot about Kate Logan Beauty and Deborah Mitchell who gives Duchess Kate and Camilla facials. Maybe you won’t need to after Meaningful Beauty? :)
@BB – Thank you, I will check them out. I am currently seeing Dr. Frances Prenna Jones, one of the leading dermatologists in London – but due to the rude treatment at her clinic, I am considering switching…for facials I still go to Vaishaly.
I’m excited to hear about your meaningful beauty results. I always watch the informercial and am to scared to hit the buy button!!
My goal for December is to try a spin class. I’ve never been to one as I feel I would have to train just to walk in the door! Should I be scared……or go for it?
@Lynn – Go for it! No training required, just lots of water and towels. That’s what’s so great about spin – you can go at your own pace. I went again this morning and feel more comfortable already!
