When Mr. Bets’ cousin, Jen, told me she was chopping off a whopping 12 inches for Locks of Love, I loved her all the more. When she asked for advice on a new, shorter ‘do, I didn’t hesitate. A lob (long bob) would frame her pretty oval face and ease her into the big change. Plus, the always-chic lob (see: Gwyneth Paltrow) is quick to grow out if you want to start all over again! What do you think? Have you ever donated your hair to Locks of Love?

Hello lovelies! I'm Elizabeth Dehn, a beauty writer + lifestyle editor who's equally fanatical about lip gloss as juice cleansing. I live in Minneapolis with Mr. Bets and our white lab, Molly Thomas . . .

Loving Gwyneth’s chic bob, I wish I could pull that off!
This is a great style for those who are fresh to the drastic change. I’ve donated mine three times now and the first two i did the lob in order to have longer hair the upcoming summer! though I’m loving my pixie cut now, it’s a great solution!
I donated my hair back in February of this year and because my hair wasn’t super long to begin with, my hair went to super short. I did it in honor of my cousin who has breast cancer and lost all of her hair while going through chemo. I don’t regret donating my hair, but now since I’m growing it back out into an inverted bob, I’m at the point where it’s that awkward middle stage that we all dread. But I’m so glad that I did what I did! I’ll never regret it
