I haven’t dressed up for halloween since college. I know! Terrible. Mr. Bets and I also leave a giant basket of candy on the front step and flee so we don’t have to answer the door all night. Total DINKS. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love a good costume. Especially if it makes me look pretty and come-hither in mysterious way. When Beautylish and The (Rachel!) Zoe Report asked me to create some gorgeous Halloween #beBOOtiful inspiration boards and products to get the look, I couldn’t help but get in the spirit. Now I’m dying to know what all of you crafty and creative girls are doing for costumes?
FACTORY GIRL

Inspiration: Sienna Miller in Factory Girl
Products: 1. A stay-put cat eye calls for Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eye Pencil in Jet ($24). 2. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush in Pink Sugar ($24) delivers a sexy-sweet glow. 3. No 60s look would be complete without a peachy nude lip. Ilia In My Room ($24) is universally flattering.

CLEOPATRA

Inspiration: Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra
Products: 1. Flawless skin fit for a queen calls for Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15 ($38). 2. Accentuate those cheekbones with peachy NARS Blush in Orgasm ($28). 3. Dior Style Liner in Noir Black ($34) is as major as liquid liners come. 4. Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in Matte Navy Blue ($20) has a cult following for a reason. That blue won’t budge all night. 5. For this look you need a true nude like NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Madere ($25). Skip the shine and anything pink!
WITCH

Inspiration: Charlize Theron in Snow White and the Huntsman
Products: 1. Create a ethereal smokey eye with Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream Eyeshadow in Turquoise and Steel ($23 each) 2. Add the Beauty Thrifter’s favorite Eylure Pre-Glued Corner Lashes ($6) for drama. 3. Smashbox Girls on Film Blush Rush ($24) takes plum to a darkly romantic place when paired with 4. Sonia Kashuk Velvety Matte Lip Crayon in Berry Nude ($8).

Hello lovelies! I'm Elizabeth Dehn, a beauty writer + lifestyle editor who's equally fanatical about lip gloss as juice cleansing. I live in Minneapolis with Mr. Bets and our white lab, Molly Thomas . . .

I put together and amazing Triangle Sally costume (google it) for a party and then I’m hoping to do sugar skull makeup for Monster Dash half marathon.
How can you forget Effie Trinket from the Hunger Games?! There are many options from just this first movie alone! The Queen of Hearts is a good one, too.
For the first time, I even made my own Halloween Pinterest board. http://pinterest.com/terribly73/halloween-ideas/
Since I don’t have time to do the Effie Trinket thing, I’m on the lookout for unique and creepy (uniquely creepy?) makeup ideas.
I’m 7 months pregnant and going to an 80s themed party in Chicago, so it feels like my last hurrah in the city without kids! I’m dressing up the belly as a magic 8 ball, but wearing some high black boots and a black crop top so I can properly celebrate 80s club style!
I use Maybelline Color Tattoo in the turquoise color for Cleopatra eyes – it is AWESOME and it’s like $7. I also like Eyeko’s liquid eyeliner pen.
Yes, I occasionally dress up as Cleopatra when I’m bored.
I’m being Jessica Rabbit!!!!
Eyeko liquid liner is amazing. I got purple in my Birchbox and just ordered black.
