We tend to leave the bargain hunting to Meghan, but these four products blew my mind so completely that I had to share. Definitely musts for fall. –Dani
1. Sally Hansen Salon Manicure polish in Pink Slip ($5.99 ): I’ve long loved this line for its wide, rounded brushes that make an at-home mani almost impossible to mess up, but this color is absolute sheer-pink perfection. Two coats and it looks like you just spent an hour at the salon.
2. J.R. Watkins Grapefruit Oil Mist ($8.99): You know when you see models in magazines or celebs on the red carpet and think “How did she get her skin to look like that?” I am pretty sure this is the answer. I mist it on after a shower or bath and the effects (smooth, lustrous skin) last all day. The oil is light and absorbs quickly into skin leaving no residue to slip off on clothes.
3. Nivea Smooth Sensation Lotion ($4.89): I’m the type of person who applies head-to-toe moisture after every shower. If you have the same routine you know the importance of a lotion that rubs in quickly but absolutely delivers in the hydration department. This stuff is amazing, especially at that price!
4. JR Watkins Body Cream ($7.64): I could brag about how great this is or I could just tell you that IT SMELLS LIKE COOKIES. I keep it on my desk, apply it to my hands and let that yummy cookie scent gets me through the afternoon slump.

Hello lovelies! I'm Elizabeth Dehn, a beauty writer + lifestyle editor who's equally fanatical about lip gloss as juice cleansing. I live in Minneapolis with Mr. Bets and our white lab, Molly Thomas . . .

Do you use both the lotion and the oil after the shower? If so, which do you use first?
PLEASE, WHAT SECTION DID U FIND WATKINS PRODUCTS? I AM A BRAZILIAN AIR HOSTESS AND SOMETIMES THERE ARE DIFFERENT TARGET STORES IN USA.
CAN I TRY TO FIND THEM AT THE BODY CREAM SECTION?
THANKS
Hi Mariana – Look for Watkins in the cosmetics department, NOT the body care section. I know it’s frustrating that watkins isn’t carried at all Target stores!
I would also like to know if you do the oil or lotion first and both everytime??
Yeah which is it?! Oil first or the lotion??? C’mon we need to know
Nickie, Jody & Holly:
They work fine either way. Oil first lets it absorb into your skin more, but it’s also nice when it sits on the surface slightly and gives a lustrous glow! I really don’t think there’s a right or wrong here. I use the Nivea daily, and tend to use the Watkins sparingly on areas that will be exposed (legs, shoulders, decolletage etc.)!
Target doesn’t even have the Oil Mist of their site anymore :( But here is the official site: http://www.jrwatkins.com/jrwatkins/productdetail.cfm?Product=C0263CD7-0E7E-361F-D81F2ED90B1D69FB&Country=Usa
I bought the oil and let me tell you I AM IN LOVE!! It feels so good on my skin. I’ve used it 3 days in a row now and every time I walk by my mirror, I can see my skin glistening! Best product I have bought in a long time. Thank you for suggesting :)
Stacey—glad you love it! I still love it as much now as I did last fall. A killer combo I have come up with is dry brushing (before or during every shower with a natural-bristled brush) and then applying the oil afterwards! ~Dani
