Friends, I have found the holy grail of foundations and thy name is Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full Coverage Foundation ($38). It sounds like heavy artillery but Tarte’s Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush ($32) buffs it into smooth, flawless submission. Unlike most full-coverage products, this one looks like second skin and feels weightless—and you only need a teeny tiny bit. After the BB cream shock that was heard around the world, I know I’m ready for a little more foundation in my life, how about you? P.s. – It’s oil free and SPF 15. Happy Friday!

Hello lovelies! I'm Elizabeth Dehn, a beauty writer + lifestyle editor who's equally fanatical about lip gloss as juice cleansing. I live in Minneapolis with Mr. Bets and our white lab, Molly Thomas . . .

Sounds Amazing!! I am going to try this. Do you know what the SPF in it is?
I prefer foundation over anything else. It’s the coverage and the look it gives my skin. I couldn’t get into the BB Cream trend or the Tinted Moisturizer; I just felt like it didn’t give me the coverage or the flawless face I wanted. Thanks for sharing, now I’m going to order it. :D
The brush is amazing. I use it with my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and it rocks. I use much less product using the brush.
i should try this one huh
@heather – hmmm, you bring up a good point. Maybe it’s more about the brush? I will try it with a different foundation!
If you order this foundation from QVC, you get the brush for free! Not sure how long that deal lasts….
This is the best foundation on the market…….use it all the time. Love it……….
Did you ever try the brush with a different foundation?
I did, and it didn’t work quite as well. There’s something about the thick, almost whipped consistency of Tarte’s foundation that doesn’t soak into the brush as much as other foundations. If you’re using a cream or solid foundation it should be more compatible.
