When Dani started writing here at Beauty Bets, it didn’t take me long to notice a trend. The girl was constantly writing about Bare Escentuals. Rather than trying to convert her I dubbed her BE Girl and gave her a column. Lately, however, Dani’s let a few other brands slip into her makeup bag. They must be worth it if she’s willing to stray from her beloved BE . . . –Bets

.
It’s true. I’ve been busted. Although still a BE fanatic at heart (seriously do not expect me to switch my foundation any time soon) there a few products that have gotten my attention—and disrupted the perfectly arranged rows of mineral powder in my makeup drawer–over the last year:
.
1. Dior Style Liner in Noir Black ($34):  I purchased and returned three liquid liners (including the Buxom Pen & Ink), before this one stole my heart, I love the teeny-tiny brush and the fact that it doesn’t smudge!  2. NARS Blush in Orgasm ($28): With it’s universally flattering golden undertones, this is summer’s best kept secret.  3. Diorshow Brow Styler ($29): With it’s fine line and universal color this pencil creates a perfectly subtle and natural look.
4. Estee Lauder Pure Color in Wild Coral ($30, currently unavailable): From what I have gathered this color was only available in 2011, which is a real shame for how fabulous it is. Sorry to tease!  5.  Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy in Cool Guava ($30): A smooth, sheer gloss without the stickiness, this color looks killer with a neon pink top!  6. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in Rose Paris ($34): Another great shade for the summer, but this formula is more opaque than the Volupte Sheer.
What’s inside YOUR summer makeup bag?
