It’s no secret that staying well-hydrated might be the best (and cheapest!) natural beauty trick in the book. But let’s be honest — getting in eight glasses a day of plain water can be a little, um, boring. If you’re having a tough time putting down the chemical-laden Diet Coke or Crystal Light, consider a few of these natural mix-ins for fancy, flavored water:
Citrus wedges – Pick your favorite & squeeze away!
Herbal tea – Yes, you can brew it in cold water.
Ginger root slices – Spicy & exotic.
Sliced cucumber – Just like a day at the spa.
Mint leaves – Muddle first. So refreshing!
Honeydew melon – Satisfies that sweet tooth.
Hibiscus leaves – Steep for a south-of-the-border flavor.
Pineapple slices – Almost as good as a pina colada. Almost.
If still water doesn’t float your boat, try a sparkling variety for more fun. I’m also obsessed with combining orange + mint. Have you made your own healthy bevvies? What are some of your favorite flavors? —Hannah

Hello lovelies! I'm Elizabeth Dehn, a beauty writer + lifestyle editor who's equally fanatical about lip gloss as juice cleansing. I live in Minneapolis with Mr. Bets and our white lab, Molly Thomas . . .

They all sound great. I enjoy water with some lemon or with raspberry herbal tea.
I make mine with lemon and basil. yum!
Oooh, basil – great idea, Julia!!
Different thymes in water is so lovely! My current favorite from my garden is lemon thyme, sometimes I’ll throw in some lemon balm also. Delightful. Also good: lavender, marigold leaves, nasturtium (muddled).
Oooh, I live on cold-brewed herbal (and jasmine green and black) teas! It’s so easy, and I don’t have to drag it home from the grocery store!
