Elnett hairspray is legendary. It’s been the one-and-only among editorial and celebrity stylists for as long as I can remember. The secret formula: a micro diffuser that sprays an ultra-fine mist of something so miraculous it manages to remain invisible while holding hair in place with the power of 10 men and the shine of 10,000 suns. Oh, and it protects hair from the horrors of humidity. Then does your laundry. No wonder people used smuggle it into the States before it rolled out to most drugstores last year. L’Oréal tells me that over the past four decades Elnett has evolved, incorporating breakthrough technology and optimized ingredients, to remain a cult-classic. Since I’m not much of a hairspray connoisseur, I need a couple of volunteers to be the judge. If you’re willing to wield a can and report back, please leave a comment with the one hair product you can’t live without. Happy Friday!

Cannot live without my ghd styler. Smooth, shiney, styled hair! Simps.
I love Matrix Sleek Looks shampoo. It smells amazing and leaves my hair very smooth and shiny.
I absolutely love Guardian Angel Curl and Protect Spray by got2b. Its a heat protectant and is amazing at holding curls. By the end of the day, my curls are still intact.
I am in love with Bumble & Bumble Spray de Mode. My stylist talked it up as a memory spray, and it really is just that. Spray your style into place and it snaps right back into your soft, manageable style- brushing after brushing. All day long and into the night. The only slight downfall to this spray is that it doesn’t do much to protect your style from humidity. Although, I haven’t found a great spray for that problem yet. I’d love to try Elnett and see how it measures up to my beloved Bumble & Bumble.
I actually happen to use this– a travel size came paired with something else I bought last year. It’s really nice for every day use.
I probably wouldn’t have used it when I was in dance to hold my hair in place, but it keeps my bangs out of my eyes throughout the day, so it’s a winner for me!
Can’t live without the Moroccan Hair Oil! Such a great all-in-one product: conditions, glosses, protects from heat, helps straighten hair.
I love Aveda’s custom control, very hard to live without it.
Bigelow and co mentha shampoo and conditioner. Which I heard is being discontinued so
I cannot live without my straightening serum. My hair is hard to tame without being straightened, and I have to protect from heat damage!
I cannot live without my CHI! I’d die if I wasn’t able to straighten my curly hair! Its like a lifeline for me…lol that and gloss serum!
I looove avocado hair masks!
I always want my hair to be shiny so I try shine sprays from various companies. First I tried the Aveda version and now I am being thrifty and using Garnier Fructis shine spray. I will totally try out the Elnett hair spray. I really like the ads, they totally make me want to buy it.
Garnier Fructis’s Triple Nutrition Nutrient Spray is amazing, it makes my hair super shiny and is really good on colored or dryed out hair! And it smells amazing!
Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother. The only things that tames my frizz in humidity!
I have very fine straight hair so I love the Volupt Volume Building Spray Gel to give me some added volume!
As someone who has rather unruly hair I love anything that can keep it even mildly under control. Lately I have been using Tresemme control gel which works pretty well to contain my frizzies and make my hair look presentable without causing it to become hard as a rock/crunchy feeling.
Dry shampoo, hands down. Right now, I’m using TresSemme’s Fresh Start spray. Moroccan Hair Oil is my second runner-up.
Cannot live with TreSemme’s Extra Hold Curling Mousse that has the Humidity protection as well. I scrunch my hair a lot and this mousse holds it so well and doesn’t make it look taken over by humidity.
My Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum! It helps speed up the drying time for my super thick and coarse hair. And the shine factor is a nice little bonus.
Nutragena skin clearing blemish concealer , I need it
My Moroccan Oil. Just love it!
that’s it! I’m am trying moroccan oil stat!
Moroccan oil is amazing, but I’d say I cannot live without my Bumble and Bumble hair powder. It’s perfect for between colors and washes. Love it! I am curious to try the Tresemme dry shampoo, though!
Just started using Elnett the day you posted this thread.
Pros: It does brush out easily and your hair doesn’t look stiff
Cons: kind of expensive and I don’t see a huge difference in how it holds plus it sprays in kind of a straight line and not mist so one part of your hair gets a direct shot.
So it’s been about two weeks so far but we’ll see.
@Mel, I HATE straight-line mist! Just tossed a pricey, premium brand of hairspray for that exact reason. Makes it hard to set a style. Thanks for the review!
