June 10

I might experiment incessantly with skincare and shampoo, but I’m a loyalist when it comes to my scent (john varvatos—steal it if you must). Ashleigh Moss, on the other hand, is a fragrance professional. She mixes her own, curated the late Cameo Beauty Lounge, and has been featured in Allure magazine for her expert nose. I asked Moss to to set the mood for summer with her favorite warm-weather scents. Steamy!

_____________

Stella Sheer by Stella McCartney ($62) – Fresh, mountain-grown organic roses give this fragrance a light but lush feel—perfect for lazy summer days. Hints of green apple and frosted lemon brighten the bouquet while warm amber keeps it sexy. Think fresh and beguiling—not old-fashioned.

Brigitte by Tocca Beauty ($68) – Inspired by the ultimate sex symbol, Brigitte Bardot, this sweet yet sensuous fragrance will have you dreaming of seaside days in the South of France. Notes of papaya, ginger, and rhubarb recall hand-picked fruit from the countryside, while saffron, sandalwood, and musk keep it sultry, not cloying.

Daisy in The Air by Marc Jacobs ($57) – This limited edition is the latest creation from the edgy all-American designer; sophisticated but not too serious, it’s for the ultimate Girl Next Door. Violet, strawberry, vanilla and grapefruit keep the base notes of musk and vanilla unexpected and whimsical, while gardenia and white woods deliver the sexy.

Coquette Tropique Fragrance Oil by Monyette Paris ($45) – Everything about this exotic scent by cult perfumer Monyette recalls the lush and heady blooms of the Polynesian Isles. A rich floral bouquet of hibiscus, gardenia, and plumeria are made edible by Anjou pear and luscious peach. Madagascar vanilla warms this exotic fragrance to perfection.

Well. Now that I’m feeling all hot and bothered. What scent will YOU be wearing on this summer?
