BEST DRUGSTORE MOISTURIZER?
If I’m being perfectly honest, I haven’t found one that I love—unless you count Olay Professional Pro-X Age Repair Lotion SPF 30 ($42), which isn’t really drugstore-priced. That said, I highly recommend spending a little more for a much better product, like Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer SFP 15 ($19). You can skimp on makeup, but a moisturizer is on your face all day.
MOST NATURAL-LOOKING FOUNDATION?
For sheer to moderate coverage, I’m crazy about Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15. It evens out skin tone and covers up minor blemishes flawlessly, but also sinks right in for a natural-looking finish. Bobbi makes the best yellow-toned shades, so very foundation and tinted from this line is pretty fantastic.
FAVORITE NUDE LIPSTICK/GLOSS?
My quest for these will never end, and my picks vary with the season, outfit, eye makeup, etc. But I tend to prefer a pinky-nude, versus peachy, like Laura Mercier Satin Lipstick in Barely Nude ($22). For gloss, I am sorry to report that my favorite is sold out! I’m going to defer to the group – any suggestions?
A GOOD EVERYDAY BRONZY EYESHADOW?
Ooo! I totally know this one because eyeshadow is so hard, and all I’ve ever wanted was one shade that leaves a pretty, natural wash of color on my lids—without making me look tired or like I’ve contracted a strange disease. Stila Barefoot Contessa ($18) is a warm, plummy brown that you can lightly dust or layer on for a smokey eye. Brilliant!

If you stay at the Carlysle Hotel in NYC, they give away that moisturizer in your room!
My all time favorite foundation is Prescriptives Flawless Skin.
I am so sad that it isn’t available anymore and haven’t found anything to replace it with. Any suggestions??
