April 5

Good morning, lovelies! Anyone else coming down from a post-Peep high? I’m actually more of a jelly bean kind of girl—especially the sour ones. They perk me up instantly. Kind of like this fuchsia cream blush (#202 Coquette) from Loreal HIP line. The HIP stands for “high intensity pigments” which means that a little goes a long way. Don’t be intimidated by its brightness—that’s exactly what you want in a cheek color to ensure that it gives you a lit-from-within glow. Anything too pale or in-between will just look dull and unnatural. This particular cream blush is beginner-friendly because it blends so easily. (For extra staying power or if you have oily skin, top with a little powder blush in a similar shade.) When a makeup artist used it last spring on a photo shoot, and I immediately scooped up a pot at the drugstore. It’s since been discontinued, but I found a small stock on this random beauty site for only SIX DOLLARS. When was the last time you found the perfect anything for only $6? This is what I’m saying.

Congratulations to Carol, Liz, Pat, Sherrill, and Helga, the winners of Friday’s freebie! They’ll be testing out the vibrating skincare from Aveeno and RoC—and reporting back on whether these new-fangled products actually work. Here’s hoping!
