When I first met Jenn Falik, all I could think was: How can someone this beautiful be so sweet and humble? As a beauty publicist, spokesperson, and regular contributor to the Today Show, Jenn has her dainty, manicured finger on the pulse of this industry. Now she can add vlogger to the list with her new Beauty BFF video series for MSN. From perfecting an up-do to mastering the latest makeup trends, Jenn shows us how it’s done. Here, however, the beauty insider is spilling her favorite products of all time. That is my kind of BFF!
(clockwise) TIGI Catwalk Curlesque Strong Mousse ($14) – In an effort to rehab my hair this season, I am wearing it curly at least twice a week. And while in recent years mousse has gotten a bad rap, let me tell you: This mousse works miracles to define my curls (I scrunch and then make a few ringlets with some creative twisting), and keeps them in tact all day.
Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant ($18) – I am a sweaty person, I’m not gonna lie. I know it isn’t very lady-like, but hey, I never claimed to be a dainty Beauty BFF—just an informed one. This is the only designer deodorant that also has anti-perspirant power so it truly delivers.
Darphin Hydraskin Essential ($50) – This is the perfect moisturizer. It smells amazing (clean and fresh), is packed with super-softening ingredients like butterfly lavender and organic Shea Butter, and creates a nice, smooth base for makeup.
Blow Faux Dry Shampoo ($20) – I am not a big fan of washing my hair. Sure, I’ll do it when I absolutely have to, but if I can find any way to prolong the life of a blowout I am a happy camper. A sprinkle of this on day-old (or four day-old) hair completely refreshes the style, adding just the right amount of volume.
Ahava Honey-Herbal Mineral Bath Salts ($22) – A good 20-minute soak in the tub is one of the most decadent and relaxing things ever, and these salts make it even more so. Infused with essential oils derived from exotic honey and blended herbs, these smell amazing and leave my skin super soft.
GOSMiLE Touch Ups ($10) – I don’t go anywhere without a handful of these delicious on-the-go smile refreshers. A must before any on-air appearance, it is my pre-segment ritual.
Cle de Peau Concealer ($70) – A major splurge, but worth every cent. Every makeup artist on set uses this on me; I clearly had to own it myself.
Nars Easy Lover Lip Gloss ($24) – Just looking at this bright pink hue makes me happy—and on the lips it is the prettiest pink, and just sticky enough to last.
L’Oreal Paris True Match Perfecting Roller ($13) – The roller applicator is the most genius thing ever—every single morning when I put this on, my face looks airbrushed. The formula has a great blend of waxes, emollients, and silicone gel that creates a soft-focus, light-reflecting illusion—and the roller guarantees even application.

I love everything here! The best part is that I haven’t tried any of these products, so now I know what all my next buys are going to be!
Also, I feel ya girl on the not enjoying washing your hair thing. It’s so boring! Love dry shampoo more than anything.

Thanks for the dry shampoo tip-have been meaning to find a good one. Does Aveda make a nice one too? I thought I heard about it for long distance travel no-shower days….
Jannie, that was prob me! I always travel with Aveda’s Pure Abundance Hair Potion because it comes in this tiny plastic bottle and is super light. You just shake the powder into your roots.
The Blow dry shampoo is small and light too, I always travel with it! The less I can wash my hair, the better! Never tried the Aveda one but I totally love the Blow dry shampoo!
Thanks for the hair potion tip! I will definitely give this a try (esp. for lazy summer Sundays!)
