Is it just me, or is the energy drink craze a little OOC? (that’s out-of-control to you non-texters—whoever you are). It seems like just yesterday that Gatorade was the fanciest one on the market. Now electrolytes are, like, so 1990s. But I refuse to consume those scary little bottles of “5-Hour Energy” at the gas station since I can’t decipher a single ingredient on the label. My friend Christina turned me on to Glowelle, which she drinks when she’s sick to keep her skin from looking dull. It’s made by Nestle, who touts it as a beauty drink due to its high levels of antioxidants (I’ll let you read the clinical studies). One 50 calorie serving contains the Vitamin C of 11 tangerines, the Lutein found in 8 cups of romaine lettuce, green and white tea extracts, goji berry, and more. Glowelle does NOT contain any artificial sweeteners, so it just tastes clean and pure, like watered-down fruit juice. I kind of love it. Maybe it’s the power of suggestion, but I feel better every time I mix up one of the to-go packs. After a few days I’m not sure my skin looks any different, but I know that over time any increase in fruit and vegetable consumption is going to improve my complexion. And, as someone who owns a juicer and enjoys a shot of wheat grass but doesn’t have much time for either, Glowelle is a super easy, healthy alternative. The fact that the box looks cute sitting on my kitchen shelf is just an added bonus!

From $28 for a 7-day kit at Glowelle.com
