In honor of Valentine’s Day, I thought it only fitting to give away something for your lovely lips: Intelligent Nutrients Certified-Organic Lip Delivery Nutrition. That’s rather a mouthful, so let me break it down for you: This is one of the most soothing, wholesome balms I’ve ever used. Leave it to Horst Rechelbacher, the founder of Aveda, to create a balm that actually provides nutrition and antioxidants both externally and internally every time you lick your lips. The secret is the Intellimune Seed Oil Complex it contains—an anti-aging, synergistic blend of black cumin, pumpkin, red grape, red raspberry and cranberry seed oils. I’ve been known to not only slather my body with the stuff, but drink it. My girl Becky Sturm from Stormsister Spatique (who you can thank for donating these fab freebies!) pours it on her salads.
If you want in, leave a comment with YOUR favorite lip bam. I’ll draw two lucky winners first thing Monday morn!
xoxo,
Elizabeth

Thanks Elizabeth!
Seriously, I add a bit of balsamic vinegar to the INtellimune oil and then some salt and pepper and it is the yummiest salad dressing.
Still trying to find my favorite lip balm…and right now my lips are so dry, I’m in desperate need! I trust your recommendation though, so I’ll definitely check this one out. Thanks for the tip!
Becky, that is a BRILLIANT idea!!!
My fave lip balm of the moment is from Yes to Carrots; just put on fresh coat of the C Me Shine in flirty pink. Organic and has been standing up to winter dryness.
Happy Friday!

I use the Lacura lip balms from Aldi (yes, the grocery stores). They are great, no joke!
You are the second person to recommend the Yes to Carrots balm to me this week!
:) I have always been a burts bees gal, until recently discovering the yes to carrots, too (target maybe?), and gotta say I love it. I go through less because it lasts longer than burts I think.
Your favorite sounds delish! Of the moment, I’m back to basics with ChapStick – but mixing it up a little with the Flava-Craze line. Grape rocks! Great post!!!
I love the Bobbi Brown lip balm! The pink one in the silver pot, with SPF. The best consistency. Stays on all day but not sticky!
C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Lip Balm from Bath and Body Works for straight moisture, and the Mentha Lip Tint in Magenta for color and minty freshness!
I love Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush lip balm (the one in the little tubs, not the tubes, which I just realized are two very similar words). It’s slightly minty and really moisturizing – I use it every night before bed!
Stop! I am such a sucker for anything Bobbi, and that little pot is so darling!
I’m a believer in Smith’s Rosebud Salve! $6 seemed like a lot at first, but it lasts forever, and is a lifesaver in a pinch for dry cuticles! :)
MAC Florabundance during the day. Good old fashioned Vaseline at night (thanks mom!)
The Body Shop cocoa butter lip balm. Smells yummy!
I was a Burt’s Bees girl too, until they sold to Clorox a couple of years ago. I have already noticed ingredient changes within that brand. It was just a matter of time.
Ladies, please read your ingredients and do your lips and body a favor and stay away from petroleum/petrolatum. – a by-product of the petroleum industry.
Think about how easy this ingredient is getting into your system when applied to your lips.
Natural oils are truly more healing and nutritious and GOOD for you.
I’m a Burt’s Bees fan. I’ve tried to do Aveda’s Lip Saver, but don’t care for the “taste” and prefer the minty-ness. I used to LOVE Rosebud Salve as well, but I’ve tried to stop because of it’s petroleum/petrolatum content, as Becky said. I didn’t realize that BB had changed, so I am now in need of a new option!
P.S. Becky – I know your good friends Michael and Brad :-)
