What’s with all the rollerball eye thingys that have been launching like crazy?! The ads for Garnier Nutrisse’s version make me giggle every time. SJP looks so SERIOUS about her rollerball. Insert major eye-rolling. It all sounds so gimmicky, especially when cold compresses, cucumber slices, and chamomile tea bags have been de-puffing eyes just fine for centuries.
But who I am to judge when I’ve never tried one? For RESEARCH’S SAKE, I gave Clinique’s new All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage (yes, that’s the name. I told you this is serious stuff) a whirl this weekend after a late-night and too much pink champagne. I awoke looking rather . . . puffy. I reached for my rollerball. The serum felt cool going on, and I liked that it was fragrance-free. Because the last thing I want is to puffy AND red. All About Eyes Serum contains Amentoflavone and Humulus Lupulus Extract to soothe, and Caffeine to reduce irritation and puffiness. Since I can’t pronounce two of the three ingredients, I’ll just say that they work. The swelling noticeably subsided over the next hour. I was tempted to rollerball all day, because it just feels so good, but I’m saving this peach for my handbag. I plan to use it often, in public, so as to show the world that rollerballs are no gimmick!
p.s. – Congratulations to Tessa and Shannon G. for scoring a set of Korres Japanese Rose shower gel and body wash! The goods are in the mail.

I agree with you about all of the “rollerball” eye products out there….have you seen the small roller foundation applicator for one of the major cosmetics companies?! It looks like a tiny paint roller that you would use to paint a wall. Puleez. Yeah, let’s roll that makeup right into our pores. I don’t care how noncomedogenic it is. You start putting makeup on with a roller and I guarantee you will begin to notice more clogged pores…..
Anyway, back to the roller eye products. I’m not a fan of ANYTHING but your ring finger gently patting eye creams into place.
This is the thinnest skin on our bodies and this skin should not be manipulated by any instruments of any kind.
Roll the eye cream onto your finger and apply it. Please!
I’ve had my eye on this product for about a month now and have been going back and forth about trying it. Thanks for the great review! I’m going to give it a whirl now.
