You know how everyone says that you don’t need to spend $20 on mascara? That the $5 version works just as well? I am not really one of those people. I mean, I am at first, when Max FActor’s 2000 Calorie mascara is doing a bang-up job of plumping up my lashes, or Rimmel’s Glam Eyes is separating them nicely with this little pink comb that’s on the wand. But then, after only a week or so, the jig is up and the formula is clumpy and flaking off half-way through the day. At this point I usually give up and go back to Fiberwig. Not so with my latest cheapie mascara, Maybelline Lash Stiletto. This is a keeper (and no, it’s not like Great Lash, which I hate). The brush is tiny and spiky so really gets in there to separate lashes and instantly clean up clumps. The formula is incredibly slick and lightweight so layering is a breeze. And the lengthening powers? Incredible. I wore it to an event last week and my friend Laura asked if I had falsies on again. Need you more proof?

You read my mind. I was just going to email you about your latest mascara loves. Will be purchasing today. Thank you, thank you!
Your friend laura here:) I ran out and purchased Lash Stiletto after reading that it was the magic mascara which made your lashes look amazing & I am happy to report that your claims are true! I love it and it works wonders on my lashes. My lashes thank you for your “investigative” journalism:)
Thanks for sharing this find. Like you, I am most concerned about seperating the lashes and sounds like this brush did just that for you. I will have to give this one a try.
I especially love the brush….but I do wonder if the packaging is just a marketing gimmick?
Sold! I wish I would have read this yesterday before I went to CVS, where I debated a bunch of mascaras and then said to myself, “Who am I kidding? None of these will be as good as MUFE Smoky Lash” and walked away.
