Because I have no use for mine. I had high hopes for Model Co’s Turbo Lashwand, which claims to be “the ultimate tool for creating truly dramatic, model-perfect lashes.” Despite my apprehension about putting a HEATED DEVICE NEAR MY EYEBALLS, I did so willing in exchange for a potentially quick and amazing alternative to a traditional eyelash curler. You see, I have long, super-straight lashes, that, in the course of my life, I will spend approximately 300 hours crimping. That’s like two weeks I could’ve been sleeping, or in Tahiti. Unfortunately, the lashwand has two major set-backs. Number one: It’s straight, whereas my lash line (and presumably yours) is curved, making it impossible to curl the lashes in one fell swoop. I had to work my way around, holding the wand against each section for 30 seconds, which tripled the time. Number two: It didn’t work. Despite the heated coil in the wand, which BTW feels comfortably warm not dangerously hot, my lashes hardly budged. In the end, I resorted to my usual routine: blasting my trusty Shu Uemura curler with a shot of heat from my Bespoke Labs T3 Featherweight Dryer. It might not be fancy—or Tahiti—but it works.

Bitterly disappointed. Guess I’ll stick with the hair dryer trick, too. May have to upgrade to the Shu Uemura, though. I’ve heard good things.
I still go ghetto with my lashes. I actually heat my eyelash curler with a lighter for a few seconds before using….bam! It’s like a mini perm. Stays longer and gives a nice shape. Hint, you need to remove the rubber bit first.
Kittie, I love it! And love that you are as serious about curled eyelashes as I. They make you look completely awake.
